What I Offer

Healing Through Consistent Partnership

I offer healing by way of consistent partnership. My goal is for you to feel truly accompanied on your path of reckoning with yourself and your life story—past, present, and future. I work under an integrative approach, tailoring my work depending on the individual needs of my clients.

I believe the richest work happens in the relationship between you and me, in the space between us.

“the act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help.”
― Irvin D. Yalom, The Gift of Therapy

Who I Work With

  • Those seeking a deeper relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them.

  • Those who feel stuck in their lives and sense an internal readiness to get unstuck.

  • Those who seek to reconcile with and process past trauma, to really “go there,” in order to heal and step into a healthier relationship with life, self, and others.

A few important things

Before we begin

Our work together

I offer reflective counseling while pursuing LPC licensure under board-approved supervision. I’m not yet licensed and don’t offer diagnosis or clinical mental-health treatment.

Privacy and your choices

What you share is private, with limited legal and safety exceptions. When possible, we’ll discuss any disclosure first. You choose what to share and can end our work at any time.

If you need urgent help

My practice doesn’t provide crisis care. For immediate support in the U.S., call or text 988. For emergencies in the EU, call 112.

Tessa Aguar

Tessa Aguar, MSc

Counseling Professional

I hold an MS in Counseling Psychology & Psychotherapy from the American College of Greece. My approach is integrative and humanistic, informed by the work of Irvin Yalom. I feel fortunate to have lived an international life: I moved abroad at a young age and have lived in many countries. Although my roots are in the U.S., my heart brought me to Europe, which I now call home. I’m passionate about the natural world and the importance of maintaining our connection to it. My experiences abroad and with wildlife have deeply informed who I am and, in turn, how I practice.

I currently offer remote counseling to Minnesota clients as I pursue LPC licensure under a board-approved supervisor. Though I do speak Spanish, I currently work in English.
